What’s it like being an author? I’m here to give you a glimpse! I never wanted to be a writer, I was just an avid reader. My Mom couldn’t keep enough books in front of me, but there was always that one book that was the beat of my heart, and I never could find it. The only thing left to do was write it!

So, my first novel came into being. Then, there were so many stories inside my head! I dabbled a little, but was discouraged when no books were selling. A few people were key in convincing me to continue. To them, I will forever be grateful!

So, I continued writing for years without selling any copies. But I knew that it was my calling to write, so I did it day after day. I grew, and learned. I worked hard, I mean really hard. Then, one day, I met the folks at Bakken Books, and everything changed. The Campground Kids series is inspiring kids all over the world to go on adventures, protect the wild places, and fall in love with reading!

I’m a homeschool mom of two incredible children, so where do I find the time to write? I get up early, that’s how! Things that are worth doing are rarely easy. Do you have a dream that seems impossible? Giving up is the only sure way to fail!
